COMMON NEW MOVIE TAGS
|01| CAM - (A cam is a theater rip usually done with a digital video camera. )
|02| Picture and sound quality are usually quite poor, but sometimes we’re lucky
|03| TELESYNC (TS) - (A telesync is the same spec as a CAM except it uses an external audio source)
|04| Quality ranges drastically, check the sample before downloading the full release. A high percentage of Telesyncs are CAMs that have been mislabeled.
|05| DVD-SCREENER (DVDscr) - (A pre Dvd, sent to rental stores, and various other places for promotional use.)
|06| If the ripper has any skill, a DVDscr should be very good. Usually transferred to SVCD or DivX/XviD.
|07| WEBRIP - captured digital webstream e.g. from Hulu, if properly done it will have good quality similiar to DVDRips or BluRays when streamed in HD.
|08| However, it can have sporadic glitches or windows notification sounds embedded, if not done properly.
|09| HD/HDTVRIP - captured tv stream, if properly done it will have good quality similiar to DVDRips or BluRays when streamed and saved in HD.
|010| It can have artefacts/glitches due transmission errors during streaming. Often it comes with surround sound.
|011| Quality can vary a lot however. Without checking it is barely possible to tell how good or bad it is.
|012| WEB-DL - downloaded digital copy e.g. from itunes, usually good quality, with none of the downsides of webrips but all their benefits
|013| web-dl usually "air" way before retails, making them a very attractive alternative to retail rips,
|014| they often feature dd5.1 sound, some even subtitles and are often available up to 1080p.
|015| ~quality: bluray hd =~ hd web-dl (bitrates eq. rel. quality) > hd webrip > hd(tv)rip > hd-to-sd web-dl > hd-to-sd webrip ~> dvdrip ~ sd webdl > sd webrip ~ sdtv

INCOMPLETE/CORRUPTED FILES
|01| First Of All It's Important To Sort Out What Kind Of Problem You Have With Your File, Before You Can Take Measures.
|02| If Your .TAR File Unpacks Fine Without Any Error Messages Generated, It Means Your Packed Content Could Be Already Corrupted Or Incomplete Before It Was Packed:
|03| Downloading It Again Wont Help You Resolve The Problem Probably. Join #Incomplete And Request The Missing/Corrupted Files Or Use !extract
|04| BUT If Your .TAR File Already Fails Unpacking Throwing Error Messages like UNEXPECTED END OF ARCHIVE - Then Try Those Steps:
|05| 1. Try Resuming The File From The Same Bot 1-2 More Times, And Check Whether It Really Got Resumed. If So Try Unpacking It One More Time.
|06| 2. If This Didn't Work, You Will Have To Try Resuming The File From Different Bots Until One Of Them Succeeds In Resuming It. Retry Unpacking it.
|07| 3. If None Of The Bots Was Able To Resume Your File You Won't Be Able to Recover Your Tar File, Means You Will Have To Get The Missing/Corrupted Files separately via !report
|08| You Can Report Corrupted/Incomplete Files by !report Bot Filename.
|09| *GENERAL ADVISE: Make Sure You Have The Newest Winrar, This Is Important Cuz Older Versions Fail Sometimes Unpacking Bigger Archives.

PASSIVE BOT
|01| If you are trying to download from a bot that you cannot connect to (unable to connect), you have to use passive dcc.
|02| You will need to change some settings in your router, either port forward or DMZ yourself
|03| First you will need to select a port range to use. The default port range mIRC uses is 1024-5000
|04| There is no need to open so many ports. You need 1 port for every dcc send/get/chat.
|05| A range of 10 ports should be more than enough for the average user.
|06| For this example we will use 5001-5010.
|07| Log in to your router and go to Port Forwarding and set ports 5001-5010 to forward your local network ip address.
|08| Now you will need to tell mIRC which ports you selected.
|09| You can set your ports in mIRC by typing Alt+O, then going to
|010| Connect > Options > Advanced or Ports(depending on your mIRC version) and input your range.
|011| ---OR---
|012| You can log in to your router and go to DMZ and enter your network ip address.
|013| It is strongly recommended that you forward a small port range
|014| Setting yourself DMZ is less secure and should only be used as a last resort option.
|015| You will also have to allow the same ports in your firewall software.
|016| If you are behind a router, you will need to force mIRC to use your ip/hostname instead of 192.168.x.x/PCName.
|017| You can input your ip/hostname by typing Alt+O then going to Connect > Local
|018| Then:
|019| Manually enter your ip and hostname.
|020| ---OR---
|021| Check both boxes and select "Server Lookup Method"
|022| If you are using any kind of proxy/vpn/bnc, YOU MUST UNCHECK both boxes and manually enter your ip/hostname.

|03| To Hide All Bot-Announces In #ZW-CHAT, Add This Line To Your REMOTE Scripts: on ^*:text:*:#ZW-CHAT: if (( [ZOMBIE]-* iswm $nick ) || ( $nick == Brains )) haltdef
|04| To Hide JOIN/PART/QUIT Messages In A Certain Channel, Right Click The Channel Tab, Select Event And Change "Default" To Hide
|05| To Hide A Channel From The Channel List Write (Will Remain Selectable Via Window Menubar): /window -h #channelname
|06| To Maintain A 5MB DCC Rollback, Add This Line To Your REMOTE: on *:getfail:*: /btrunc $filename $iif($calc($file($filename).size - 5120000 ) > 0, $ifmatch0
|07| Using A DCC Rollback Greatly Decreases the Probability Of Data Corruption When Aborting/Resuming Transfers *RECOMMEND*
|08| To Place Your Downloads Automatically In Different Folders Each, Go Into Your Options: DCC/Folders
|09| Add An Entry For Each Desired "Category" e.g.: *XXX* ->c:\xxx\ OR *HDTV*x264* -> C:\tvx264 OR *Bluray*,*Blu?Ray* -> C:\Blurays
|010| Or For Games e.g.: *SKIDROW*,*RELOADED*,*-FLT*,*-HI2U*,*-GENESIS* -> C:\GAMES
|011| Always Be Creative, Those Are Just Short Samples ;)
|012| To Add an Extended DCC Send Allowance Check , add this to your remote, it will only allow sends from bots in #ZOMBIE-WAREZ that are voiced:
|013| ctcp *:DCC SEND *:?: if ( $nick !isvoice #ZOMBIE-WAREZ ) || ( Zombie-* !iswm $nick ) /echo -a BLOCKED SEND FROM $nick | /dcc reject | haltdef
